His work spans natural language processing, large language models, and the practical systems needed to deploy AI responsibly at scale.

Onil Gunawardana holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Yale University. He co-founded Inspire, a nonprofit that has positively impacted over 400,000 students. He has lived on five continents and traveled to 80+ countries.
